Service Description

WHAT YOU WILL COVER ON THIS COURSE You will be taught to work towards a final showcase on day five, with a private performance for friends and family. Leave with a recording of your stage performance (emailed within 3 weeks). Being comfortable with the camera and being relaxed. Have a professional 10 x 8 headshot in the studio. Create a professional showreel consisting of 1 monologue or 2 contrasting scenes (emailed within 3 weeks). Feature in our showcase programme. Learn the etiquette, roles and terms of a film set. Work on successful film and television scripts. Study theorists Stanislavski and Brecht. Work on and star in a short film via the University of Gloucestershire Film Dept. Enjoy an intensive, emotional and educational acting experience in Cheltenham, with like-minded professional acting students. Learn to swiftly analyse scripts and text to deliver a believable, real performance. Enjoy a dynamic schedule with various masterclasses led by RADA specialists and experienced tutors in stage, screen, voice and more. Create and develop memorable characters. Hone your skills with supportive colleagues, experts and directors. Work solo, in pairs or as a group in a central Gloucestershire theatre and film studio. Understand the landscape of the industry, receive professional guidance, be given access to film contacts, agent information, learn how the industry works and how to get ahead. Put yourself in front of RADA specialists, casting directors, producers and decision makers. CAMDA's one week Screen Acting course has been designed in collaboration with RADA specialists, together with West End professionals, who have at least 30 years of experience. We are proud to deliver conservatoire style training for actors at any level, who are seeking to take that next step on their career ladder. During the week, we shall explore classical and modern scenes from outstanding, award-winning plays, carefully chosen to suit each participant's casting and skillset.
